Hi everyone,
I wanted to post this update to explain why I might be distant, inactive, or not updating my stories for a while. Early Friday morning around 2 AM, my family and I went through a terrifying experience. A massive storm hit our area and caused severe flash flooding that completely destroyed our home. We lost absolutely everything.
We were woken up in the middle of the night by our puppy, Roxy, barking. Within minutes, the water rose over our porch, flooded through the vents, and trapped us. My mom, my older sister, and I had to hold onto a thin window sill on the outside of our trailer, while my dad got stuck in a tree. We were stranded in the water for over four hours before our neighbors were able to rescue us.
We are physically okay now, just very sore and dealing with cuts and bruises, and we are currently staying in a hotel. However, our hearts are completely broken because we lost five of our dogs in the flood. Only our dog Hazel was rescued and returned to us.
Because we have lost our home and everything we own, my life is completely turned upside down right now. Writing and being online won't be possible for a bit while we try to figure out how to rebuild from scratch.
I am so sorry to leave you all hanging without updates, but I hope you can understand given the circumstances. Thank you all for being such an amazing community, and I hope to be back as soon as things settle down.

hey guys! small announcment. I will be pausing 'Twisted Petals' for a while. I've been working on it for weeks and I feel like I'm burning myself out and my collage finals are coming up soon. so, to avoid that, I'm going to pause it and work on a new, smaller story. I hope you all understand and have an amazing day!
