I have to respond here because I don't think Fanfic.net actually let's people know I've messaged them in their PM. I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and im sorry to disappoint with the Lily confrontation. I kept running into problems whenever I tried to get a fight going. It would've been cool to use the fire hand to burn her hair, but I kept getting the uneasy feeling that if it were that easy to do, then we should've been able to do it in-game. I hate to admit it because Hellboy is the goat, but with her hair, Lily solos Hellboy in a dust up, especially if she goes straight for a head-removal with her hair. So, I stuck with canon to play it safe.

@KingKongKal Hey, no prob. :) Yeah, that's totally understandable. Since Hellboy has beaten no shortage of demonic ass throughout the years, it makes sense that he would be able to beat her easily in a straight-forward fight. I think if I were to write it, though, I'd think of ways to have Hellboy at a disadvantage, if not have him come up with creative solutions to get around the hair problem imo. The fun thing about writing fights is seeing some of the unconventional ways characters deal with a given problem using what little resources they have and turning that against the opponent. That, plus seeing how both Lily and HB respond when the former is at a disadvantage. Even if Lily is a psycho, I can't imagine Hellboy would kill her when the only advantage she has is stripped away from her. Not unless she has something else up her sleeve imo.
