It's funny how, to understand Christopher Nolan's films, you have to watch the whole thing, not even pausing for a brief moment of thought. It's as if he has this elaborate plan for his movies inside his head, one that is not accessible to us. And, yet, as we go through the screenplay, we tend to understand it, and not quite how he may have created it.

@Ex_patron exactly and directors also like to work with people they’ve worked with before and know how to direct them

@raemyth I think it is kind of funny how he recasts some members from his earlier movies. For example, Cillian Murphy from Inception is being cast in Oppenheimer, Christian Bale from The Prestige was cast into The Dark Knight, and there are a few other actors too. And, I think that that is also an amazing thing to do, because when the movies were previously created, the actors had got acquainted to the director, and vice versa, and could follow his lead better. In fact, understand quite well how the film needs to progress.
