@ExiledWriter I don't think it's faltered at all. I feel like it's so far an epic setup for an epic adventure to begin. It's set the scene in so much detail for future beings/creatures that might come to be! Feel like I know this world now. We know where it's come from. We know what it's been through to get to this state of equilibrium and I feel this is the calm before the storm. 'As it is know by all (at the end of chapter 7,) the Parched sun would not keep his word'...Desperate to know where this goes next. There is a literal whole world of possibilities. Roll on chapter 9...
