“ hey, hey you’re okay. ” after a traumatising event, steve was torn away from protecting steph. a building came crumbling down and before steve could get to be with the female soldier, the building kept him from doing so. it annoyed him greatly and it angered him. his hearing could pick up sirens. police and ambulance were everywhere but his main goal was to get to the other side. it was an unexpected attack. people beginning to get shot at by others. steve’s heart felt like it was beating again because he was so scared he might not get to steph in time.
          
          he swore to protect her, to keep her from the bad in the world even though he was probably just as bad. fortunately he was able to get to her but — why was she in an ambulance van ? fear struck his heart like lightning in a stormy sky. he managed to go to the hospital with her and he held her hand tight. “ i’m sorry — i’m sorry i didn’t come sooner. ”

            Steph couldn’t remember it all, it happened so quickly. The building coming down around her and all she thought about was protecting the baby. She was luckily alright a bit shaken and battered, being taken the hospital to be checking over. 
            
            The moment Steve ran in was when she felt tears break down her face. She had been scared not only for the baby, but for him. “It... it’s okay. But the baby....” she was shaking horrible and she didn’t even know if the baby was alright.

“steph, i really don’t understand. i asked for /vanilla/ ice cream and i got... mint,” came peggy’s rather annoyed voice. the woman was eyeing the groceries brought by her husband. “really. did bucky at least get /you/ what you asked for? i was craving vanilla! steve, i swear...”

peggy helped shoo both men out and then huffed as she turned towards her best friend. “i mean, really. they could read the damn labels, but no! and now i’m /really/ craving anything vanilla.”

            “James!” Steph shouted a little harshly, but cleared her throat. “It would be amazing if you went and got me my chocolate ice cream. Steve can even go with you.” She said pushing him towards the door as well.

peggy let out an annoyed groan and set the ice cream down. “steven!” she snapped out, realizing it was a little harsher than intended. “/please/ go get me vanilla ice cream. go. now. shoo.” she pushed him towards the door.
