"You can trick others but not me," Kanha issued a chilling warning, "Stay out of my way, Roselda."
          
          With a playful giggle, Roselda once again brushed off Kanha's words as harmless. She leaned in closer, wrapping her arm around Kanha's in a sweet gesture, swaying it gently like an affectionate puppy eager to share its joy.
          
          "Come on! We both made it out okay, which shows we have something in common. So why not be friends?" Roselda remained firm in her conviction. Kanha released her hold on her arms, stepping back to survey her surroundings.
          
          Kanha realized that those who materialized out of nowhere were the ones who had survived the simulated mission. Her focus wasn't on the fallen, instead, she fixated on the singular objective that drives her mission forward.
          
          Roselda admired the way Kanha observed those around her. Her gaze conveyed indifference, as if they held no significance to her. To Roselda, Kanha embodied a reclusive predator, someone who shies away from connections with others. This intriguing aloofness only fuelled Roselda's desire to win her over even more.
          
          She found herself drawn to Kanha's indifference, but her captivating smile faltered when she caught a glimpse of something unguarded in her aloof gaze. Slowly, she turned to follow her line of sight, her heart sinking as she realized whom Kanha was fixated on.
          
          "Do not dare to look upon the devil, for he embodies a fate worse than death," Roselda spoke with a foreboding tone, marking a stark departure from the usual joyfulness that once filled her voice.

"I once thought your eyes were blank, yet I now realize..." a gentle voice came from her direction. Rather than turning to face him completely, she tilted her gaze toward him.
          
          That smile and knowing voice felt oddly recognizable to her. With Kanha brushing off her concerns, she shook her head and turned her focus back to the group. Raizen saw her action as a sign of rejection, yet he couldn't help but smile as his curiosity about her intensified.
          
          Kanha kept to herself, and Raizen could easily pick up on her detachment from the world around her. Recognizing her introverted nature, he felt a strong urge to connect and discover more about her. As he contemplated how to initiate a conversation, his attention was drawn to her wound, igniting an idea in his mind.
          
          He subtly searched through his trouser pockets, unsure of where he'd stashed it. When his fingers brushed against something in his back right pocket, Raizen pulled it out with a grin.
          
          He started to say her name but paused, choosing to ask her something different instead, "...Is it alright if I?"

"You," he gestured toward her, speaking to Kanha in a manner that clearly conveyed his indifference to her.
          
          She simply raised an eyebrow at him. She had no obligation to those others either. They were the ones who jumped in front of her earlier when she was just about to find a spot to relax and take a break.
          
          "If you're this weak, just stay in Kaho and save yourself the trouble of dying here. This is no sanctuary for a fragile little bambi like you," he chastised Kanha in a detached manner, as though addressing a defiant child.
          
          Kanha's eyes widened in shock, and a dry laugh escaped her lips as she reflected on her boiling anger towards him. Without asking a single question, he hastily assumed Kanha hailed from Kaho—the notorious breeding ground of the feeblest and most cowardly assassins on the Darkside.
          
          "Get rid of her," he turned his gaze from Kanha and focused on Thomas, "That way, taking you down will be a piece of cake."
