Dear Valegro, I really don’t know what to say. You were my idol, I looked up to you since the first day I ever saw you. You stole the hearts of everyone who knew you, personally or through a screen. You inspired me so, so much. I knew this day would come, but I did not in a million years think it would be today. Your movements told stories, and every hoof touching the ground was a step to an intricate dance. I’ve never seen another horse like you, and frankly, I don’t think there is. You thrived in the arena, you knew you were a superstar. Now sitting here writing this, this barely feels real. I never met you, but damn, I wish I did. I spent countless hours watching you, admiring you, you taught me a lot, even through a screen. Now I wish you’re at rest, living your happiest moments again in the place wherever the afterlife may be. Maybe you’re dancing, just like you used to, like everyone knew you could. The best, the top of the sport, the Dancing Horse. Rest In peace, Valegro.

@SiljeWrites When Valegro left, he also left a hole in the hearts of everyone who had ever seen him. He was a legend, a name everyone knew if they knew anything about dressage. He retired right at his peak, and would keep up appearances at shows, just not under the saddle. He will be missed, he was and still is one of the biggest legends in dressage. He’s now dancing in heaven along with Totilas.

Your heart is all over this beautiful post in honor of your lost Valegro ❤️ And I say yours, as it seems that in your heart that horse was yours, even if you didn’t meet.
