hi, I would like to issue an announcement of sorts about my current situation. we had been dining in a restaurant about 2 hours ago, we ordered the cheque and stayed sitting for a while just to talk when at once, people's phones, waiters, and customers, and our phone lit up with an emergency warning that Iran had sent hundreds of ballistic rockets our way.
usually, with rockets, it's a red alarm, the noise kind. and the event is over after a few minutes so I never say anything. however, this is a big attack.
we rushed through the kitchen's restaurant along with tens of other people to the shelter. alarms goin- (there was another alert so I stopped here and now I am back to finish the story) going off, we stayed in the shelter that was loud, with panicked people and a screaming baby for half an hour before my parents decided to take the risk and race home before another alarm goes off.

I think it's strange, living like this. But I don't know another reality where civilians don't have war panic. where people don't hear an alarm and it's just a part of the routine.
either way, this gives me more time in my room to write, which works pretty well for you all. I hope tonight is a peaceful night for all especially the people that I love, because as a 20-year-old, I should not have to worry about rockets and my soldier friends, my best friend who lives near the border, and my little sister who just wanted a birthday celebration.
