As an author, I'm fascinated by the rich tapestry of history and the mysteries it conceals. My latest novel, "Death at Balfefield Abbey," is the first in a trilogy featuring the tenacious investigative reporter Clara Sullivan and the astute Inspector Keating. Set in 1903, this historical murder mystery explores the dark undercurrents beneath the surface of a seemingly serene estate.
In crafting Clara Sullivan's character, I wanted to create a protagonist who is both intelligent and relentless in her pursuit of truth. Alongside her, Inspector Keating brings a methodical and analytical approach to solving the crimes they encounter. Together, they delve into a web of secrets and lies, hoping to bring justice to light in an era when such pursuits were fraught with political and cultural challenges.
This trilogy promises to take readers on a journey through complex cases and richly depicted historical settings. My writing process involves meticulous research, as I strive to authentically recreate the time periods and settings that form the backdrop of my stories.
I invite you to join Clara Sullivan and Inspector Keating as they unravel mysteries and navigate the intricate world of the Edwardian era.
