            *  a hand moved to run against flame colored locks ,  smoothing them down in a repetitive motion .  he couldn't see ,  not at the moment when his attention was dedicated to the woman before him .  the quiet was usually deafening && scott was able to recognize her touch inside his mind as easily as he recognized his own hand .  *

@RUBYVISORS  ⠀⠀⠀╱⠀⠀⠀the   calming   of   his   heart   was   something   she   felt   through   his   ribcage.   an   effect   she   was   far   from   blind   to.   her   eyes   wrinkled   around   the   edges   as   her   smile   widened.   it   was   moments   like   these,   so   emotionally   charged   yet   QUIET,   that   brought   her   comfort.   that   lingered   in   her   mind   as   a   reminder   that   no   matter   how   HARD   it   got,   she   was   far   from   alone.   she   prayed,   within   the   deepest   depths   of   her   soul,   that   he   too   reflected   on   their   times   for   strength.
            
               "if   only   you   were   the   one   who   could   enter   my   thoughts."   she   joked   quietly.   "it   means   the   world   to   me."   she   let   out   a   quiet   sigh,   shifting   her   head   to   lay   on   his   shoulder—-   his   pulse   point   against   her   forehead.   "i'm   okay."   she   promised.

            *  scott only let out hum ,  the warmth of the other a comfort despite the frizz of her hair tickling his cheek .  she smelled like strawberries && her hair was probably soft from that conditioner she always had since they were kids .  all in all ,  familiar .  his jean .  when her hand slid to his chest ,  scott swore his heart rate slowed to a calm rate -  no longer so intensely worried .  an effect that she had on him ,  even without telepathic maneuvering or suggestion .  *
            
            it doesn't feel like much to me .  it's just . . .  habit .  it's care .  i do these things because i / care / ,  but the words get old eventually .  you're sure that you're okay ?
