For the Wise One, the Sly One, and the Lost and Forgotten Ones.

I never intended to write fiction, but I had a few ideas, so here you go. I'm a Loki fan. My first two stories ("Fight your Fate" and "Ravnajuv") are exercises in reconciling the Marvel movie universe with Norse mythology, so warning: these are from the mind of a heathen/non-monotheist (but not anti-Loki). Marvel Odin is not my Odin. Also, I wanted to give the character of Loki happiness (in a real sort of way, not some fake romantic chic-lit b.s.) and more background to his unhappiness than the stupid Marvel/Disney line of "EVIL!"

I am also a fan of Scandinavian crime dramas, inspiring my second two stories ("Detective Loki: The Theft of Thor's Hammer" and "Detective Loki: The Jotun who had no Heart in his Body"). These both contain elements of satire. "Hammer" is based on "The Lay of Thrym" and was pretty much done for fun. "Jotun" contains elements of the Scandinavian folktale "The Giant who had no Heart in his Body" and is darker. I'm going to call it an anti-romance (also anti-pop culture and anti-celebrity).

Takk til my husband, our cat Fenris (R.I.P.), and our cat Freyja.
