Just thought of the 'Ship of Theseus' question and garbled it towards the human body and I was like: "The yous of the past are varying levels of alien to the you of now" because I love channeling insanity 3 minutes before 8PM yk?

And then I thought... "Damn, but all me's were absolutely unhinged and feral in some way no matter the age."

Me: Listens to the Wisdom Saga so much I start to hear different voices for the vocals

-Ngl I came into my room after swallowing down 5 tacos in, like, five minutes and I heard "Love in Paradise" of the Wisdom Saga and I went "WHO IS SINGING THAT???"

FadingMorningstar

It might be a sign d ue to listening to the songs near 24/7 since they've been released, even when asleep.

Me @ 3AM: What if I just shoved these *holds a box of ideas from various fanfiction I've read* into one story.

Just was thinking on si/oc-insert fanfic and I was like: But what if I did it while shoving some of these other ideas I've read from either si-oc or crossover fics into their situation?

Also I wish they expanded more on the doppelganger plot as well tbh. Because we have Amara -> Tatia -> Katerina -> Elana for the Petrova gals while we have Silas -> Stefan -> Tom Avery for the Salvatore lineage and... probably more?

Because whether they're born ever 100 or 500 years, there would have been at LEAST one doppelganger pair since the creation of the Immortals Silas & Amara, yk? 500 years after the creation, then you'd have Tatia & (?) 500 years after that before you touch down on Katerina & (?) then finally Stefan & (?).

Tbh, they're kinda finicky on the dopeplganger appearances because the next pair that would *theoritcally* be introduced after Kat is Stefan & the mystery doppelganger around 374 years later so the 500 years per doppelganger would probably have been wrong either way??? Even if you account for vampirism fucking around with the loophole (which... i doubt??? I mean, Nature generally corrects itself even when you have witches tryna fuck with it, or anyone else for that matter. Esp since vampires count as dead.)

          So we'd have Amara & Silas -> Mystery Male + Female Dopplegangers -> Tatia & (?) -> Katerina & M.M.D. -> Stefan & M.F.D -> Elena & Tom Avery with a general variation of a few hundred other years.

Also they're formed to live and die in a cycle for Amara & Silas as a balance for them being immortal so as soon as one doppelganger dies, you'd think the next that would be born would exist somewhere within a hundred years if you just wanna consider a lifetime (and the following energy of their deaths I guess?) to equal around 100 years.

Idk, the fact that they're naturally reoccuring bcz of nature means nature would *want* them more constant than every '500' years (100 makes sense to me more than 500). Like it fucked around with that White Oak and Red Oak shit for Original Vamps & Tribrid Hope, creating it as soon as it needed 'em (post-white oak destruction yk).

I, again, just think it would've been a nice plot line if we were gonna deal with Amara, Silas, & Qetsiyah and everything doppelgangers entail if you're gonna shove the progenitors at us yk? Like the Originals got LORE LORE for their creation & shit and doppelgangers are out here like sad little biscuits in the rain or smthn.

Also the fact that it's a known occurence in actual lore & spells means that they'd totally need more than 2 Amara (and 2 Silas) copies pre-Esther seeing as witches want their blood & shizz. it'd be weird otherwise, even if humans have really sparse lore on them during TVD.

Because (supernatural) history is prolly not just gonna include some weird doppelganger lore if there's been only *two [pairs]* (of) fucking doppelgangers around 1001 AD. Doesn't make sense.

(Also they really do mostly seem to have some uncanny abilities to survive compared to other people, and to get tangled into sacrifices/sacrificing themselves yk? Kinda like they're *nature's sacrifices* for Silas & Amara and generally seem to have some kinda sacrificial nature for others.)

Thinking on TVDU/TO and the Doppelganger thing of an alternature timeline/history is that if Silas WASN'T a backstabbing traitor lusting after his 'one true love' with the handmaiden Amara, Qetsiyah and Silas would've been like... the Bennett/Salvatore bloodlines instead of the Petrova ones?

Like if Silas was faithful man woulda had it all - immortality and a loving wife who was a badass witch that *made them immortal*. Sure girl went crazy (from what it seems) after 2000+ years on the Other Side in her 'scorned lover' state due to Silas. Just food for thought tbh.

@BiloboJooho idk if I'd ever try to write something like that though because I just freeze writing female characters as POVs and stuff a lot.

@BiloboJooho Honestly I think Qetsiyah deserved better tbh. Girl got betrayed left and right by EVERYONE. No wonder she's so crazy lmao.

I would have been cool to see a Qetsiyah doppelgänger, the twin to Bonnie or something like that!!

Honestly, when I think about TVDU (TVD/TO) and the witches, they piss me off the most since they seem to just love causing problems and their really big egos/superiorty complexes over the other species?

Like, most problems and stuff has come from a witch doing some wild shit then they go "oh no!!! I did a bad thing and now it's an ABOMINATION!"

The Gemini Coven and their hatred of Siphoners (plus the Merge thing as well is WILD) and everything the Joshua Parker (I think his name was) did to his family.

          2) Esther and her Immortality Spell that made her turn around and go "I turned them into ABOMINATIONS!! Now I have to KILL THEM to repent for my sins" then cursing her son for her OWN harlot ways (even if it was because of Mikael) and calling him, once again, an abomination against nature (you'd think nature would have fucked Klaus up if he was actually an abomination of it because it generally relatiates against things that goes against it) then you have the deal she made with Dahlia for her firstborn and her CHILDREN'S FIRSTBORNS even if it was for her to be fertile (she prolly coulda did it herself since she knew Dark magic yk), and then tryna kill her son's INFANT BABY.

          3) Every witch gunning for Hope Mikaelson for being 'evil' and 'an abomination' because... babes, if Nature didn't want her to exist... she wouldn't????

I dunno. Witches piss me off in TVDU/TO because they mostly do shit for their own ego trips. They'll even backstab and lie about their deals and shit as well (Looking at YOU Emily. Like sure, the Tomb was a problem but you coulda legit just let them burn the vampires or something instead of breaking a deal you made a century ago.)

Don't get me started on the Spirits though because I have WORDS for them. Like, leave the living alone wtf? You're time is UP and you should just stay dead and leave everyone alone <3.

(Also werewolves were ALSO because of a witch as well, 1500+ years ago - the Hollow yk. Every species is from them in some way.)

@BiloboJooho Honestly when I think of Finn my mind *usually* goes to Vincent because I did... not watch most of TVD (Damon throws me off so hard usually) and Finn possesses Vincent Griffith for a bit in TO even tho I've been getting better due to my TVDU/TO reseach binges lmao.

@BiloboJooho Like from TO faves it'd be Niklaus -> Kol & Rebekah are on the same lenght really, because while I'm very homosexual Rebekah is a fun character -> Freya -> Finn -> Elijah. I'd include Henrik but we legit only know him as a corpse that causes them to become vampires.

I really wish Mikael and Esther choke and die even in the afterlife though. The pure rage and hatred I have for those two could rival the Sun with how much they just... make me angry asf.

@FadingMorningstar lmao same the only reason I put them as a love intrest for my Oc’s is bc I find them attractive tbh.. plus there are barely any Finn x Male Oc books like Come one. There a book dedicated to every member of the Mikaelsons but not Finn or barley him and or Freya!
