Does anyone have braces, if so, I'm trying to write a character getting their braces for the first time and I want it to be accurate pls

@Fairycherry224  I've been wearing braces for four years. Actually, since the beginning of high school. They put them on my upper braces first, then my lower braces. My teeth hurt a little for a week, but after that, it was fine. There are also special rubber bands that are supposed to pull the teeth out and prevent gaps between the sides when you smile with your mouth open. This way, all your teeth touch.
            
            It's quite difficult to eat nuts, bubble gum, or other sticky things because they stick to the braces.
            
            I also advise against biting pens while wearing braces, as the braces can loosen and the wires can break.
