She stood there for a second, debating whether she should give it to him or not.
Nav stared at her, silently waiting for her to give him the kheer too.
"Mujhe bhi do," Nav whined as Vani started to turn back.

"Tumhein nahi milegi," she declared, and turned to go back inside in the kitchen

Nav's eyes widened and he said
"Mai kya tumhara sautela pati hu? Mujhe bhi kheer chahiye."

Vani turned to him, hesitating, still unsure, if to give him or not.
That's when Jasmeet gently pushed Vani a little towards Nav.
"Beta, do usko bhi kheer," Jasmeet said.

Vani looked at her, shocked.
Randeep looked at Jasmeet with a knowing smile, shaking his head slightly.

“Woh sab baad mein hota rahega. I was stressed the whole day. What if your family doesn’t agree? Just tell me—tumne baat ki? Kya hua? Tumhare ghar wale maan gaye? Kya kaha unhone? Kuch kaha??”
I smiled to myself, leaning against the window, loving how much she cared.
“Boloooo!!!”
I sang softly, unable to stop myself—
“Hun eko sadi mang,
Sanu aa giya pasand,
Vich sohniye vichola pa, ni lena tenu…”
I paused, then continued with a grin—
“…family di member bana,
Ni lena tenu family di member bana.”
I laughed at myself, tossing a cushion into the air, catching it, then falling back onto the bed.
