About fanfiction: blame friends, actors and aesthetics. Not me. I'm a writer seeking a Muse. I am constrained by what I knew at that point in time, so I am making it a practice to not judge my past selves so harshly. 
About original stories: I keep them too close to my chest to ever put them down on the screen.
