Hi! We are a few of the millions of fans of THE HUNGER GAMES! :D I started the FB page Aug.28,2010. I want this to finally grow and prosper! So, Follow/Like! :3Hey! Welcome to our Hunger Games page! This page is all about the The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins! The first book, The Hunger Games, was published September 14, 2008 by Scholastic Press. There are 374 pages in this book! (: The genres it falls under are Adventure, Dystopian, Science Fiction, and Action. The second book, Catching Fire, was published September 1, 2009 by Scholastic and has 391 pages! The final book in The Hunger Games Trilogy, Mockingjay, was published by Scholastic on August 24, 2010 containing 390 pages in the USA, and 455 pages in the UK. All three books have a cover artist known as Tim O'Brien. The Hunger Games movie is distributed by Lionsgate and was released on March 23 in the U.S. running at 142 minutes. They follow the story of a 16 year old girl, Katniss Everdeen, who volunteers for her younger 12 year old sister, Prim, in the 74th Annual Hunger Games. These Games are a fight to the death for children ages 12-18. She goes into The Games with a boy, Peeta Mellark, who happens to be in love with her. They both go into the games and fight to stay alive. These two finally win and come home. Then, they are thrown back into the arena and forced to fight again. Not finishing the fight they are taken out and Katniss becomes The Movkingjay, a face of rebellion against the Capital. They fight for freedom from the Capital and all at the same time fall for each other.
