@drgmastanley Happy early birthday! Maybe try reading stories that are not marked "Mature". You can also go to Settings, click "Content Preferences", and turn off "Mature Content", that way you won't see any stories that are marked mature. It isn't completely foolproof as the writers voluntarily mark their stories mature, but you should see less stories with sexual scenes. Hope that helps!

@Fantasy I'm 60yrs old next month. I'm into more action than romance novels. Is there a way to tell if a action story does not have sexual scene in it? Please let me know.

@ Fantasy Maybe I want to get to know the fantasy community better. I also want to try creating a story about some fantasy stories that are a combination of some of my favorite stories and my imagination.

this message may be offensive
@ alyedizzygirl That's the thing. I think most people would. Instinct of survival but I feel like I couldn't. I mean I am really afraid of dying a brutal death but somehow I don't think I'd be able to kill someone to survive. And that's kind of paradox because my life is the most important thing for me. I love to live but I'm not able to kill.

          ✧ Fantasy Fun Facts

One of the oldest subgenres of Fantasy is Fairytales! Before the term Fantasy was coined as a genre the term fairy tales was used to describe fiction filled with otherworldly ideas and new world building.

The most well known fairy tale author Hans Christan Andersen was born on April 2, 1805. Andersen's fairy tales, consisting of 156 stories across nine volumes have been translated into more than 125 languages. Some of his most popular works include the Little Mermaid and The Ugly Duckling.

Fairy tales have deep roots in folklore and are something you can find all over the world. Share your favorite fairy tale below!

@fantasy I love his work, the way he pushes human nature to the edge and then asks you to look at it.

Would someone cut off their own heel or toe just to marry a prince?
            We want to say no.

            But the truth is… maybe.

            That’s why those stories endure.

Modern Cinderella softens everything. The choices. The consequences. The cost.

            His version doesn’t.

It’s brutal in its patterns, its magic, and its truths.

@Fantasy My favourite fairy tale might be - I haven't really thought about it - but ones about giants and goblins, or Snow White and Rose Red. (I haven't read a huge amount of old fairy tales either)
Contestar

Glory_feeling2

@Fantasy I heard some fairy tales are inspired by real stories. One that I love to follow is Snow White. Heard that it might have been inspired by 2 German noble women of the 15th/18th century: Margarete von Waldeck and Maria Sophia. They both had evil stepmothers (a similarity to "Cinderella") but I learned the father of one of the women owned owned a local mirror factory (now a museum), and a "talking mirror" from that time—a mirror with a voice command feature. Sadly, the innocent dwarves are based on minors who worked in mines ... aka child labor.

@Fantasy Well first of all, I am not really accustommed to this country but if the royal throne chose me then that means I will hire the most entrusted, loyal and fair people to be part if my council to guide me and help me make the country great while at the same time get peoples opinions. This isn't just a throne for me, I was given this throne to rise with the people! Just like a proper King/Queen!
Contestar

DaTopaz

@Fantasy If the throne chooses me, I will make farms of trees and supplies, my kingdom does not deserve starvation. I will rule the kingdom below my justice, no one deserves a story of bad luck in my kingdom. Since the trades between kingdoms will be handled by me, I will watch closely at their interactions making sure nothing illegal somehow got into my kingdom. I will make more schools and health centers, I don't want my people to be dumb, unhealthy, and specifically can't even spell. I push my education system to be further, but not torturing mental health. What about my safety from the outsiders? What about the spies who try to dump me to the grave? The guards will guard the palace, no room and no hall will be empty. The politics, I will hire the people I trusted the most objectively, trust worthy without corruption and anything else. My kingdom doesn't belong to the deep hole of suffering, it needs to be above it.
