Hello there! :)

Quick life update. A lot has happened since the last time I posted here. At this point, Wattpad is more like an occasional blog than a writing platform, haha... but writing is so dang hard! It is fun, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you get stuck and mostly you don't like what you're writing and the excitement comes and goes in waves and... it's a challenging process, writing.

Well, for one, those big competitive exams I've been mentioning finally got over. None of them yielded a good result, though, so this year was a flop in terms of that :(

So no government colleges for me. In the end, I've now gotten admitted to a private university. The fees are sky high but so is the infrastructure and — I hope — the education and opportunities.

Yeeees, you read that right, I'm now admitted to a college!

          	EEEEE!!

I leave this Saturday, in fact. Orientation and induction classes are from next week and studies begin in August. Of course, this is my first time away from home for this long, so I'm a little nervous... and very excited.

Also. A couple days ago, I got bitten by a dog. Well, another unique experience, I suppose? XD It didn't hurt that much. It bit my hand for like 3-4 seconds and then ran away. I have a habit of petting stray dogs, but I didn't approach it slowly like I usually do, so I think I startled it, poor thing.

Well anyway! That's a summary of the top things in the last few months. FINALLY getting free time to do whatever I want, college admission (which was a very hectic process), learning how to braid my hair, crazy shopping, then this dog bite.

          	How's your life been?

Also, does anyone have any outlining tips? I'm trying to outline this story because I figure it might reduce writer's block (and some other reasons), but I don't know where to start...

As always, if you've read this, thank you for being here :) I'm not the most exciting person and I'm definitely not the most active, so I'm grateful if you stick with me anyway.

@FantasyCreature123 Oh it's definitely terrible. You got ninety nine percent? Congratulations! But yeah I get you, even in Advanced if you're not the top ranks there's a less chance of you getting a good branch. And without Advanced there's a miniscule chance of actually getting a good branch. We're definitely in the same boat. The university system is India horrible.
On another note, I do get how it feels like wasting a year. You took a drop year? Me too! And the year was not good. The stress and expectations are so soul-crusing ffs. So yeah. There's that

@Elementlover29 Indeed I am! And yes, it was JEE, plus a few college entrance exams. We're in the same boat, then, haha. What a rat race, isn't it? You can score higher than NINETY NINE PERCENT of your competitors -- our of 14 or 15 lakhs of students!! -- and you might still not get a good college or a good branch. Ugh.

My dear followers, those of you who're still here: what's up? :)

For me, life has been much the same. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm alive, and... drumroll... I've been working on the novel I mentioned! Progress is still very slow, but I am doing it, and I intend to finish this. I swear I will.

And a question for you guys: what's the most obscure book that you've read and liked? I started "Anna Dressed in Blood" by Kendare Blake. The writing was better than I expected, and it made me wonder what other unknown-but-good books I am missing out on.

Hope life's been good to everyone! Love you guys.

@brewingbookaddict16 Hello! Quick question: have we interacted before? Asking since you replied to this announcement instead of posting it on my message board.

Anyway. I read the blurb, and I'm afraid this is not the kind of story I usually read. No offence to the story itself! I just have a lot piled up on my reading list already.

I wish you the best in your writing journey, though. Finishing a novel is hard, hard work. Keep at it! :)

@FantasyCreature123 Hey
sooo I’ve been working on this story called Invisible Until You on Wattpad — it’s all about soft chaos, quiet love, and that painfully slow-burn kind of romance we pretend we don’t love but actually live for

if you read it and like it even a tiny bit, a vote, comment, or even a lil shoutout would seriously mean the world
trying to get it to more readers and every bit of support helps more than you think

here’s the link if you wanna give it a peek: https://www.wattpad.com/story/395769411-invisible-until-you
            thank uuuu in advance!! <3

So! A new year has arrived. 2025... Quarter point of the century! I wonder if I'll see the end? 2100 would definitely be a celebration to behold.

Anyway: 2024. It was... How can you sum up a year full of life into one word? So many things happened, big and small. I'm sure I don't even remember much of it, and anyway, none of you would want to read about what happens to me on a daily basis.

Still, there were big beats in my life that I should mention. I finished my school life. This hits the hardest of all... but I've talked about this before. We shifted again after 5 years. I started to travel on my own. Lived with only my sister for a week... an achievement for me, lol. I met so many new people — online friends, offlines friends; magical encounters, some of them — and many animals too! (At this point I know like 20 dogs on my route, hehe )

It was a memorable year for sure. As always, life had it's up and downs, and to tell the truth, the last half of the year was pretty monotonous and boring, overall. It had many great moments, but ah, studies studies studies, if I have to spend one more sleepless night poring over the intricacies of what constitutes a transitive function and what doesn't, I might just...

FantasyCreature123

Ahem. Well. What am I rambling on about? What was I going to say? Oh, yes — may this new year be filled with pleasant surprises, cherished memories, and fun adventures for you all! Yes, adventures. Go out and live life a bit! I know it's hard to find the time, with all our work, but there's no point in toiling and toiling away if you can't enjoy anything at all.

Today _I_ had a lil adventure Saw my dogs after nearly a fortnight, and I found a swing there. I swung after such a long time! It felt great. Cold, but great.

Well then, I'll end. Goodbye 2024! Thank you for everything that happened! And welcome 2025, I hope you're even better than I have hoped for. ✨

What are your plans for this year? Any new year resolutions? I'd love to hear about them. And if we haven't talked in a while, feel free to drop me a text.

Hi everyone! I disappeared once more, huh :melt:

Life update: I took a drop year, as they call it here, and am preparing for competition exams again, to get into a good college. Hence, swamped with studies, my writing has come to a halt... as usual. (I swear I'll write properly in college! I've got tons of ideas, and an actual novel which I've planned this time. The outline's not perfect, but it's the furthest I've progressed in any long work of mine, I think.)

Anyway! My friend Cyian introduced me to this cute feature just now. You can decorate my Christmas tree with personal messages, which I get to open on Christmas day, life gifts :)

So, if you want, drop your thoughts about me ;)

And tell me about your life. How's it going? ♥️❤️

FantasyCreature123

@iburnrice I miss talking with you too ❤️ Thank you. LMAO, are you saying I won't get time there either??? Bruhhhh :')

You know what, even if I don't, I'll MAKE some time for it. I gotta write that novel. This year my parents won't allow anything, but I guess I'll be free to use my time however I want in college at least (I hope......)

I can't wait to write it either. But of course, if only this feeling would remain when I actually sat down to write...

            Dogs are just <3

@--UkyoAlicrest-- Heyyy, good to see you. Thank you, thank you. I'm also looking forward to writing it. I'm pretty proud of it to be honest.
I've been good, mostly. Last few days have been especially great. (I love dogs so muchhh)
            What about you?
And hey, would you mind texting on Instagram or something? My sister sad you're active there. We've known each other for years, yet we don't really _know_ each other, ya know? I'd like to rectify that, if you're okay with it :)
So if you want to go ahead with this, text me on FantasyCreature123 there.
Anyway, wishing you a wonderful week!

Hi, I followed because I saw you are a fan of Philip Pullman, who is one of my favorite authors. Also I resepect the fact you value learning, that's very admirable!
I am interested in following how you progress. Keep writing! :)

FantasyCreature123

@XaphRowan Hello there! Thank you for the follow. And for replying even before I asked, haha.

Yes, I loved his His Dark Material trilogy. Sadly I haven't read anything else by him, but Lyra and her journey was incredible to read about. Although the tone did become too anti-religious at the end... still, compelling characters, great worldbuilding, beautiful prose—yes, I do need to reread it soon! The ending though :(

Glad to have you along on my journey. I'm real slow, though, haha. Still, hope my writing--whenever I do publish something else--brings something to your day ❤️
