Happy reminder that two of the seven science‑fiction participants of the Purple Fairy Awards have already unfollowed me again. Now, I know Wattpad has this ongoing bug that randomly unfollows people (I’ve had issues with it myself), but I find it very hard to believe that this bug just happens to strike RIGHT after the results were published.
          
          So, to those two people: congratulations, you’ve managed to piss me off. But I’ll still do my best not to let it affect my judging when I look at the mini‑category you’re still entering… although I’m honestly tempted to start disqualifying people.
          
          I’ve asked for so little as an entry fee for these awards, and I’m putting quite a bit of effort into them. Please just do me the courtesy of following my account, if only to show some basic respect to me (and, by extension, to all the other hosts who are also putting their time and energy into these awards).

PFA Announcement - juding for the Romance genre has begun!
          
          First of all, after publishing my first results two days ago, my Wattpad exploded with messages. A big big BIG thank you to everyone for your enthusiasm, compliments and praise! I might have overdone it a little with the reviews but I really enjoyed writing them.
          
          Now of course, since this was the smallest category of the whole awards, I fear the next ones might take a little more time if I want to meet the expectations I have created now... But I promise I'll do my best to make it worth the wait.
          
          The next category, as decided by fate (aka my cat, Odette), will be romance. This is a big step going from 7 scifi entries to 20 romance entries, so I guess I'll see you in a few years hahaha!
          
          No, I'll try to get in done in three months. I'm still costantly writing of course, so I won't disappear ;) but regarding the awards, if everything goes well, I'll see you this summer.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I really love that you go into detail with the feedback/critiques of all the submitted contest works.
          
          That’s incredible!  I can tell you this sort of thing costs hundreds, if not thousands of dollars out in the real world.  
          
          You’re amazing!  Thanks for running such a wonderful contest and hope you keep doing this sort of thing.

PFA ANNOUNCEMENT - RESULTS ARE OUT
          
          A few days behind schedule, but here are the award's first results, the science fiction results.
          
          I'll blame the delay on my enthusiasm to truly write very elaborate reviews because WOW!, what a genre to start with! I've truly read some of the best works I've ever read on Wattpad. In most cases, it was very difficult to even find some points of critique. Congratulations to all of you!
          
          Go check out the winners, and see if there is any book you might want to put on your own reading list.

PFA announcement!
          
          It was with a slight delay (bacause I may or may not have forgotten about it in the rush of participants signing up and keeping up with the forms and entries...), but I've finally made the participation sticker, whoohoow! You can find it in the Accepted entries chapter and in all future Judging chapters.
          
          It's a little amateuristic, I know, (see the awards' Welcome chapter for clarification about my graphic skills), but it's purple and it sparkles so me happy (✧ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ✧)
          
          Judging for the science fiction genre is well underway. I'm truly devouring all your books, guys, I love this! Results should be out by March 8, and shortly after that I'll start with the next genre/category. Stay tuned!

          1. The Purple Fairy Awards are officially closed for signup. No more new entries will be allowed (except for the few that I answered a little later in the comments, you can still finish your signing up if you want)
          
          2. From now on, whenever I have an announcement for the awards, I'll start my message with "Purple Fairy Awards - Announcement". (I might shorten it to PFA when I'm lazy). That way, you'll know when it's interesting for you or if it's just some other update about my writing life ;)
          
          3. In a few hours, I'm leaving for my ski trip, so I might not give many updates for a week, but right now, it's time to dive into all those amazing stories of yours!
