I'd just like to point out that aliens and outer space adventures aren't the only things the science fiction genre has to offer. Everything from alternate realities to time travel is under this category. If I can't sell you on the amazingness of this genre then just watch Doctor Who (start with the 9th Doctor) and you'll be thanking me.
