I'm almost 15, a poet, a budding short-story writer, maybe a little heartbroken and a little healed. I'm made up of genes, memories and milestones on this map of my life so far, just like you. However, the memories we have are not all sweet and sugary. There are a few which make us want to stop trying, cry and maybe even die. Allow me to pose to you a piece of writing that I have come up with recently:

"If the past is such a penitent place to live in, why do so many of us keep holding on and torment ourselves? Living for the present and for the future deems more satisfactory than dwelling on the past. There is a sweet remedy to every struggle we face, but if like math, the answer is hidden beneath seemingly perennial layers of failure, would you live with trial and error or die with the guilt of making no attempt?"

I'll let that sink in, and with that, I conclude this section. I hope I have imparted a few of my values and I hope I get the same in return :)

Do check out my poems in the link mentioned, and constructive criticism is always welcome.
