Just posting here because DMs don't exist anymore. I know you've said it seems like I put a lot of effort into my recordings. But mono and stereo recordings don't take much effort compared to 5.1 surround which I'm currently doing for an ASMR roleplay video. But even if you don't have a 5.1 surround system, headphones with Dolby Atmos enabled can give a very similar effect which are pretty common on mobile devices as Dolby Atmos is just a piece of software that mimics the effect of object placement and adjusts the headphone output accordingly so that it sounds like a 5.1 surround system without actually having one. The only thing the headphones can't do well is mimic the low frequency effects of the subwoofer where the rumble is felt in the room and not just heard.
