valentines day actually sucks and i stand by that
like why is there so much pressure for one random day in february. suddenly everyone is either in love, pretending to be in love, or aggressively single with a superiority complex about it
i went outside and it felt like the whole world was red and pink and judging me personally. couples everywhere walking at 0.2 speed taking up the entire sidewalk like it’s a romantic parade
and don’t even get me started on the prices. why are flowers suddenly the cost of a small car. it’s literally a plant you’re buying a plant that’s already dying
also restaurants??? booked out for weeks. and for what. so you can sit three inches away from another couple also pretending they don’t hear your entire conversation
even chocolate betrays you because you either get a cute small box that’s gone in 4 minutes or a giant one that makes you feel slightly ill halfway through but you keep eating it out of spite
and if you stay home everyone’s posting soft blurry candlelight photos like “best night ever ❤️” okay congrats i’m eating snacks in the dark like a raccoon
anyway valentines day is a scam invented by card companies and i will be accepting discounted chocolate tomorrow like a winner
