Doing comics now!
Check me out on Tapastic: https://tapas.io/series/Utopian-Comedy
When I finally start typing them up, I'll post my poetry. I have about half a notebook filled with rambles.

So, yeah. Never picked back up on War of the Riders. In fact, I just quit Wattpad altogether. I've been ignoring it in my email.

I'm an artist now. Well, I'll be official in 2018.

When I took a break from school, it was because I needed to rethink my life. I'd wrapped up my identity in my performance. Going to university, being rejected by a relative, and feeling like I had no choice in my general life led me to struggling with thoughts of suicide. Well, shutting down due to thoughts of suicide.

Then I resumed writing my Pokemon Fan Fiction because I was completely lost on what I wanted to do with my writing. So I started experimenting with how I was planning and writing.

Then I read Fallout Equestria and seriously rethinking my writing. I started writing War of the Riders because I wanted to get back to my roots. Then I hated it. So I stopped. Because I wanted to write a fantasy epic.

After months of planning, I have a fantasy epic planned and will start writing the first book in Nanowrimo.

I'm also going to write poetry and post here. Its all spoken word poetry, which I'm putting on YouTube.

Again, all of this will be official in 2018, so you'll see activity then. I'll keep any updates brisk from now on.

          Thank you for reading!

Going to resume regularly scheduled submissions.

However, I've hit a wall with this book and have up to 12 chapters written. Thus, I'm going to post the remaining chapters and focus on a different book. As much as I've been excited about this War of the Riders, I've hit an emotional wall and can't connect with it anymore.

I'm sad to say, but I need a break from this story.

I usually write with one main story and then have a side project or two that I work on. This time, I tried limiting myself to a solo project and I feel that its hurting my process.

This book has also had a rocky history, as I've started and started this story over and over again. Its evolved so much over the last ten years (It was actually the first book I ever wrote). I'm proud of how far its come.

Thanks for reading it so far and look forward to two more chapters.

I apologize for not resuming updates this month or in January. I've got a weird writing block and I haven't been able to write as much as I did. I prepped for this sort of thing, but I didn't count on internet and life complications getting in the way of actually posting updates.

As of right now, I'm up to chapter 12 and I will do my best to resume updates on a regular schedule. Again, deep apologies.

I've started outlining a fantasy epic, so if I'm not writing War of the Riders, I'm outlining that. I'm not going to talk much about the epic, it's just something that's in a different vein.

I think part of why War of the Riders is so hard to write is because it's a modern arcane-punk. Something about writing modern world stories has always been a stumbling block for me.

So, in short: writer's block and posts resume next week.

          Ciao!

If any of you like web comics or want anything Arcane Punk, I highly recommend Blindsprings.

It inspired a few magic mechanics that are in my book, most notably the glyphs. I didn't realize it until I went back to catch up yesterday. When I first read it, it made me realize how my magic system needed reworking. Eventually, I came up with what I'm writing with now.

But, seriously, check out Blindsprings! The artwork is beautiful, the characters are well thought out, and there's a bit of political intrigue.

Thank you for following me, Felicity. I love Madeleine L'Engle too. Which books by her do you like best?

snowdeux

@Felicity_Swan Oh, I've heard of that one. There was an excerpt of it in this collection of unicorn stories I had, and I loved it. I'll add it to the list.

@snowdeux I should really reread all of the Time Quintet. One I recommend is The Young Unicorns. It's a single, but it's good.

@Felicity_Swan That's one of my favorites too. I've only read the first three books of the Time Quintet, but A Swiftly Tilting Planet was my favorite, although the other two were lovely.

When I started posting War of the Riders, I made sure I was eight chapters ahead so I had time to handwrite each chapter, type them up, have a friend read it, edit, and post. ALL month this October, I have not been able to write. Usually, I have these slumps, which is why I wanted to get so far ahead. It's terrible, but this happens every year. It's like I have no desire to write and I cannot physically string sentences together on paper. When this first happened as a teenager, I would get terrified I'd never write again and then wake up one day and write like normal.

As of right now, I have up to chapter ten typed up. I plan on not posting the on the third Friday in December, due to holidays, birthdays, and stuff. Normal schedule will resume in January.

I'm slowly saving money to purchase a new tablet, so I might start posting art in ... January. I also REALLY need to make a new cover for War of the Riders and I'm toying with a few ideas until I can get that fixed. I also have GIFs, character art, and world art planned as time goes on.

I also want to let you guys know that I am putting together an animated series, which will go up on YouTube (which is why I have my Burnt Toast Studios banner on my profile. I also animate). I can't say exactly when I will post it, but I will inform you when its live. It's all animated and edited by me. Yay. Before that, I'm going to make a single short to get used to the process.

Thanks for reading. I don't have many followers, but it means a lot to have even a handful of people keeping up with my work. Even if you're only here for the Pokemon Fan Fiction, lol.

          Thanks.

One thing I have learned about outlining: It lets me know I've thought up complete nonsense and need to rethink whatever I had planned. Currently, if I'm not writing the first book, I'm outlining the second one and figuring out side plots. Yay, outlines!
