Dave Fromm is a novelist and lawyer - not in that order, sadly. He's written the best book out there about American expats playing semi-pro basketball in the mid-90s Czech Republic (it's also the only book out there about American expats playing semi-pro basketball in the mid-90s Czech Republic). He's the author of THE DURATION, a novel set in his beloved Berkshires hometown. His piece on the Athol-to-Orange River Rat canoe race received a Notable Essay nod in the 2021 Best American Essays collection and this year he won the New England Public Media Valley Voices storytelling competition with a story about having explosive diarrhea on Cape Cod. He lives in Longmeadow with his wife and kids.
