In a desperate attempt to organize myself, I will be posting weekly about the books I read during the week and how much I liked them. It's good that I also recommend some gems for you.
This week it was the turn of:
Last Sin (ONC, action, LGBT): I feel like every week it's Last Sin's turn because I'm obsessed with this book. I love the somewhat stylized comic-book setting and the protagonist Cass with ALL MY LIFE, tough mf.
Damnatio Memoriae (ONC, fantasy, LGBT): inspired by ancient Rome, this one has all the political drama I crave for. The first chapter is one of the most evocative things I've ever seen and the worldbuilding is top-notch.
Searheart (fantasy, Japan-based, romance): an incredible protagonist's journey here, with a strong female lead. The fight scenes are incredible for those who enjoy oriental fighting styles and it's very well written. I may have fallen in love with a secondary character and still be suffering.
Beyond Cosmos (scifi, LGBT): BEST COUPLE EVER. And alien invasion, only good stuff. I loved the care taken with the worldbuilding and the dynamics between the characters are incredible. Justin, a young airplane pilot who has incredible action scenes, can join hands with Cass and become one of my favorite protagonists.
The Bride, the Blade and the King (ONC, fantasy, romance): I don't even remember if I read this one this week, but I decided to put it here because this book is my darling. Easy read, very fun, has my beloved dose of gore and probably the most charming romantic interest on this list (hi Rael, do you come here often?)
This weekend I will dedicate myself to catching up on books that I've already started. Hunting Season, Pull the Trigger, Beyond Cosmos (yet again), Windsor Lane and The Art of Never Fitting In are my next stops.
Drop a recommendation and wish me luck. Bye!
