Warning, highly experimental: here's an antique manuscript that flips the logic of chronological order... A narrative that starts progressing backwards, and never stops. Literally, the whole story is presented in reverse order of events, and still works out just fine - at least in the sense of followability, but hopefully also in the sense of achieving the intriguing effect it was designed for.

Finally published another English story after a one-year hiatus (I didn't take a break from my native language writing, though).
          
          The novelette I'm bringing you now is a hard-hitting sci-fi rollercoaster ride. All I want to say here is that you WILL BE SURPRISED by at least certain parts of the story. But who knows, maybe its ending too will have the intended effect on you. Check out the blurb, and save it for later if it sounds interesting. I guarantee that it will be. Just my kind of luck:
          - I decided, back when releasing my first novel, that it'll eventually have an English version
          - found the time and motivation to translate it after 3 years
          - worked 27 long days on the translation
          - submitted it and another story to 7 ambassador profiles in early March
          - March turned out to be the month when 3 of those profiles died, and the rest have rebranded
          - some of them promised not to ignore submissions made before these weird changes to wattpad 
          - yet my stories gained zero reads since then, and I can't find any other fitting promo profiles for the genres and themes of my work
          
          So yeah, perfect timing :D :(

Let me tell you three things that the number 27 signifies here: certain stars, the ones that burn with a flame too fervid, expire in 27 years; I originally wrote this novel at age 27; and it took 27 days of headachy effort to translate it into the English version that I'm giving away here.
          
          That was the best year of my godforsaken life. Looking back, it all feels like one long stretch of a runner's high, or a beer buzz, or the guitar solo of "Champagne Supernova" blasting for 12 months. Pure, life-affirming euphoria. Words can't describe it, but I tried anyway. It's all there, tucked away in random paragraphs of this piece.
          
          I suspect I'll never have experiences like those again :( But having this nice little rock'n'roll novel to share, it somewhat eases the pain of having lost my youth (all the exercise and partying took a toll on my heart, literally). If there's only one moral to my personal story, it's the same as the main character's lesson: choose love while it isn't too late; most other potent pleasures can kill you (including cardio, if overdone), and they're all substitutes for love anyway.

100 days have passed since I made this experiment of re-posting a high-quality story of mine in English, to see if it get ANY reads at all in front of an international audience. And once again, I'm very disappointed in Wattpad. It's as if my story (or profile for that matter) is utterly invisible to others.
          
          Today, I submitted "A skeleton's trek" to the "Undiscovered" promo profile of community ambassadors. If it gets ignored by them too, it'll convince me that this site is absolutely anti-meritocratic (all attention goes to shallow, low-effort fluff, while deep tales created through hard work get zero).
          
          It's just very frustrating when you can't tell whether people are uninterested in what you have to say, OR your reach is artificially limited (maybe the search and recommendation algorithms don't like certain kinds of good stuff).
