I have spent countless moons in love with words, both reading them and, even more so, writing them.
I come from a troubled past, and writing became my redemption, my refuge, my comfort, and, at times, the very thing that kept me moving forward when I felt lost.
For many years, my pen naturally wandered toward poetry and romance, most often in French. Writing felt as natural as breathing, a quiet sanctuary where thoughts and emotions could take shape. Yet, somewhere along the way, that desire slowly faded. The words grew distant, and for a time, I believed I had lost my voice.
Unexpectedly, I found it again in a different world, and in a different language.
English became the place where my creativity resurfaced, where stories began whispering to me once more.
Truthfully, I have never really written an entire story on my own. In the past, my writing was always shared. I would narrate the thoughts, actions, and dialogue of a character, while another person would bring their own character to life in return. Together, we built worlds, scene by scene, weaving stories between two imaginations.
Writing alone is something entirely different.
Stepping into a story without another voice beside mine, without someone helping shape the path ahead, pushes me far beyond my comfort zone.
Yet perhaps that is also part of the adventure. Not only for me, but for all of us. Learning to trust our own voice, to follow where it leads, and to discover what kind of worlds we can create when we dare to step into the unknown.
My greatest hope is for this story to become a film within your mind. I want the pages to fade away, leaving only the characters, the landscapes, the emotions, and the quiet moments that linger long after they have passed. I hope it carries you beyond the boundaries of reality and into a place where imagination takes the reins, where another world waits just beyond the horizon, ready to welcome you.
