That’s right, I’m not dead. I’m coming out of hiding to share this with you all. I’ve written a letter and sent it too the FCC chairmen and commissioners and I hope that you can do the same. If not, I will be pasting my message here for anyone who would like to copy it and send it themselves. One voice may not matter, but we all must rise together to be heard. It may not be the best or most cohesive message, but maybe it’ll be enough to get their attention.
To whom it may concern,
As a democracy, the power of choice is a right to all of United States citizens. I write this letter to voice my concerns and take advantage of my constitutional right for freedom of speech. My goal is not to undermine your recent decisions regarding net neutrality, but instead to bring to your attention the dangers this may lead to. As an American, I am proud and grateful of all the freedoms bestowed upon me. However, I do see a danger rising in current politics that threaten our very foundation. Freedom of information is what leads to advancements and innovation. If the resources that provide easy and constant access to information are taken away, we undermine our rights to said information. An uneducated nation is one that can fall to ashes. We must not lose what we have fought so fervently for. I ask of you, as an American, to rethink the consequences of disabling the country for monetary gain. I pray that you will listen to the people and come to a new conclusion about your decisions.
Sincerely,
(Name, city)
