Our name, Film Companion, comes from a line by American philosopher and film critic Stanley Cavell. He said: The writing about film, which has meant most to me has the power of a missing companion. That's who we want to be - your missing companion. The person you will discuss movies with. We will disagree. We might even argue. But we will both bring to it passion and an enduring love for the greatest of art forms - film. 



Film Companion is a platform for entertainment journalism. Our main focus is film - Bollywood, Hollywood, world cinema, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. We do reviews, interviews, features and recommendations around cinema. We also cover television, short films, web series, OTT-platform content, stand-up comedy, film festivals, cinema-related books and occasionally, non-film music.
