Hi loves I'm alive still!
Haven't had much motivation to write lately tbh
Anyway though, I am back once again to make the statement that I *do not* write BL. My target audience *is not* straight women. My target audience is *gay men*, because I write GAY, MALEXMALE ROMANCE.
I bring this up because of a video I'm watching that's discussing queer romance in media (specifically Heated Rivalry and Bridgerton), and apparently a gay man got kicked out of a watch party for HR, which as I'm sure most of us know (even if you haven't watched it like I haven't) is a show about *gay men*. And it delved a bit further into the issue surrounding the fact that a shockingly large portion of gay romance(they lumped BL in with MM romance which is problematic imo but besides the point) is, and has been for a long time, written by heterosexual women for other heterosexual women.
I do not mind that my primary audience is majority female identifying, however, I do hope that it is known, and if not then I am making it known, that this is not a safe space for fetishizing gay men in any capacity, this is a safe space *for* gay men, because I myself am a gay man writing stories that I want to see, that aren't tragic and bound to end in someone dying or an inevitable breakup without any reconciliation, or whatever other tragedy that usually befalls the queer couple in most queer media (Call Me By Your Name, Breakback Mountain and multiple others are prime examples of this.)
Anyway, my loves, please remember, stay safe, stay happy and stay healthy my darlings ♡
And please remember, this is a safe space and I'm here if ever you need someone to vent/talk to ♡

@FinchLeBirb love your stories. They have a lot of emotions in them that I can relate to.
