Hi! Okay so this not something book related but i just finished watching Stephen Chow's "The Mermaid," and I have to say, I was not prepared for how deeply this movie would affect me. What started as a lighthearted, funny story quickly turned into something much more profound. By the time the credits rolled, I was in tears—and not just a few drops, but the kind of crying that comes when a story truly touches your heart.
The movie begins with a quirky, almost playful tone, as we're introduced to Shan, a mermaid with a mission to stop a ruthless businessman from further harming the ocean. I was initially drawn in by the humor and the stunning visuals, but as the story progressed, I found myself getting more and more invested in the characters. The chemistry between Shan and the businessman, Liu Xuan, evolves so naturally that I didn't even realize when I started rooting for them.
This movie also made me realize the lengths to which a person can go to protect the ones they love. It reminded me of the importance of all the people in my life who love and support me.
