Remember that there is always someone with less talent than you making more money than you are in your field. This is most true for writers and other artists.
So whenever you start to feel down on yourself and think, "Am I good enough to be a writer?" I want you to replace that thought with, "Well, if [the name of an untalented cod that you can't stand] can be successful writing stories, so can I."
It's way more motivating than any other fake message you'll hear from anyone else who is just trying to give you lip service: "Of course you're good enough!" and "Just believe in yourself! You got this!" These are things people say because it makes them look kind and empathetic. It's not real. And it does very little to motivate anyone anyways.
But less talented people making more money than you in the same field is very, very real. Use that reality as your fuel and write.
