I don’t know if you know this but Wattpad has decided to change an age thing in books to 18+ sex scenes only, I don’t fully know how to explain it. It’s in the news and updates book. But they are apparently changing a lot of things. I don’t want you to get blindsided by a book being deleted and not being told why. I’d back up your books on google docs, Microsoft word, or something. I think you can imply things for underaged stuff but can’t go fully into it. There was also something about dark themes. It’s hard to explain. Any thing that triggers their ai that scanning books, even if it’s nothing, can get deleted. Again it’s hard to explain. I think a lot of authors are getting blindsided and are leaving Wattpad. If I could get help letting other authors know I’d be a big help.

Their new guidelines are so vague so it’s hard to figure out what they were wanting. They’re making it so any book with sex scenes and too detailed kissing scenes with 17 and lower are deleted. I think it’s stupid and many people are not happy. Although it’s an ai scanning through books. Other authors I’ve seen are going to age up their characters even though the vampires like Stefan and Edward are physically 17. It doesn’t matter what their vampire age is. Or the mc is 17 turning 18. Wattpad doesn’t care. The characters have to be 18 in order to have s*x scenes in books
I think how they wrote it kissing and hand holding are the only thing 17 and under are allowed to do as long as it’s not too detailed. But I’d just have books backed up somewhere just in case because other authors have had their books deleted even when they follow the new and old guidelines. Some of them didn’t have their books backed up because they thought they were safe.

I just recently saw your reply to my question about story ideas so my idea is for Chicago Fire for Matt Casey or Kelly Severide’s 10 year old daughter while also following the show or also Chicago PD and Antonio Dawson’s youngest daughter also being 10 because I know he already has Eva who I think is 13 in season 1 and then Diego or is 8 in season 1. And the kid could hang out at the fire station and the Intelligence unit after school so it’s easier to add them into the show. And I want the daughter to be pretty, sweet, kind, caring, popular, goofy, silly, clumsy and sarcastic. She can do gymnastics and dance. If it’s Matt Casey’s daughter I picture ‘Paige Hyland’ from ‘Dance Moms’ as Isabella Grace Casey (Is, Izzy, Bella). If it’s Kelly Severide’s daughter I picture ‘Maddie Ziegler’ also from ‘Dance Moms’ as Madison Hope Severide (Mads, Maddie). And if you do Antonio Dawson’s daughter instead then I picture ‘Jenna Ortega’ or ‘Josie Loren’ from ‘Make It or Break It’ as Valerie Rose Dawson (V, Val). And I want them to be short 5’1 or 5’2.

The daughter can be close with her dad, being a daddy’s girl. She can hang out at the firehouse/21st district after school, the school bus drops her off a block away and she walks the rest of the way, she will do her homework in the common room or the break room, take naps in her dads bunk or on the couch in the break room and just hang out with everyone there. I want to see her struggle with realistic problems. Getting her first period at 13, getting sick with the flu, losing her virginity at 15 and maybe it wasn’t all as she hoped because she later finds out that the guy used her and it was for a dare or bet and she tells her dad and he comforts her. I want to see her at school with her friends and getting schoolwork and going to gymnastics and dance after school on different days. And she’s smart and her favorite subjects are Math, specifically Algebra and Geometry, she likes solving the problems and having to find out the answers. She can struggle with History and English, sometimes Chemistry and she can ask her dad for help with chemistry homework because he’s a firefighter and knows about chemical reactions. And if you write Antonio’s daughter instead then she can ask her Uncle Matt’s help with her chemistry homework. I just want to see normal teenage stuff while she grows up during the show. Sleepovers with friends, birthdays, going to parties with drugs and alcohol, getting grounded and having her phone taken away, maybe getting arrested, figuring out she’s bisexual and struggling with her feelings for her friend, school drama, like fights and maybe one of her friends gets pregnant. Just regular everyday stuff.
