          Did you know? The average puffball has a cruise speed of 45-50mph. Thanks to their flight ability being propelled by air pressure and breath rather than wing muscles, they can hold this velocity for long stretches of time, allowing for incredible flight distances! 
          
          *In 2012, a famous case of a female puffball making a nearly 3,000 mile journey in just under 3 days was documented on live television as part of a competition show!*
          
          Yes I did the math from BFDIA 2, and it shockingly worked out to a reasonable number (2.5 days (60hr) to cross 2,763 miles means Puffball was only going ~46 mph during that time)

Puffball Fun Fact #4:
          
          Did you know? Puffballs are omnivores! Their prey consists mainly of birds, but they will also eat small mammals, reptiles, and even seafood! As for plants, puffballs enjoy sweet, ripe fruits such as Moonfruit and Coralberries. Puffballs have also been observed snacking on tender plant shoots, and even flowers!
          
          Bonus Fact!:
          
          Male puffballs tend to be more herbivorous (~40-50% of their diet consisting of fruits and other plant matter), while females are almost entirely carnivorous (>80% of their diet being prey)!

          Did you know? Puffballs are considered critically endangered in the wild. Population decline is mainly linked to habitat destruction and poaching for their fur. It is estimated that less than 500 wild puffballs exist in Goiky, with civilian numbers being estimated as less than 15.

          Did you know? Male puffballs are referred to as “Bulls”, while females are known as “Belles”! 
          
          Males can be identified by longer tufts of fur around their eyes and below their mouths, while females have the same-length of fur across their bodies.

          (Since writing is hard and I am lazy, I figured I’d start a little fun-fact series fleshing out my Headcanons while I figure out what to write)

          sorry it’s been so long- I’ve been working a lot and just haven’t had the motivation to write anything lol- also most of my fics taking place in a part of canon that is actively being reworked by JnJ isn’t helping, as I’m trying to have all my fics be canonically plausible (not having any major divergences with the canon timeline, except for something that may or may not be coming to the canon fic, hehehe)
          
          I do have to read through what I’ve already written and decide where I want to go from here- and that may involve some more reworking/timeline adjustments to existing lore (most likely Warmth and Tattered Leaves) to fit better with my evolving Headcanons. I think I’ll be switching to smaller chapters, since a lot of my writers block is from struggling to reach a decent word count.
          
          I am also considering starting a few other projects, mainly an object biology handbook (I’ve already actually started a tiny bit of that one, I might post the rough outline to see if there’s interest), and an AU of an AU idea I’ve had based on the Zooliminology series and Redmist’s Goiky Labs (check them both out!) if I ever get around to being active again.

Reworking update
          
          It’s been a while lol- I’ve been lacking some motivation, and a pretty big factor is me being unhappy with some of my previous work. So, I’m more than likely going to completely re-edit my stories (mainly earlier chapters of Warmth and TL) to make them a bit better/fit with my current worldbuilding/headcanons. I’ll probably do cleanup before publishing anything new for a little while, so any notifications are more likely than not reworks. I also might remove a few scenes that haven’t aged well (either due to canon or headcanon timeline changes, better pacing (that’s a biggie- the pacing is pretty horrendous imo), or just not really liking the content itself). Hoping to get some work done soon, but I’ll try to be more active here!

          PS: I’ve been spending most of my writing time making complete shitposts that will never be posted publicly, but unironically they do help with writing/ideas lol

UPDATE: lore reworking
          
          So it’s been a while! Obviously a lot has changed in canon recently, especially with 2 of my fics being very heavily BFDIA/IDFB based, so there’s been some canonical inconsistency in them, plus just me changing my mind on things in general. So, the current game plan:
          -Edit old chapters to reflect updated canon events 
          -Add more worldbuilding/lore elements 
          -Update some wording/themes that I’m not currently happy with as is
          
          Hopefully I can start getting reworks out soon- not sure if I’m gonna completely rewrite chapters or just edit things? Probably mostly edits but who knows!
