          	Okay, I died multiple times on different occasions, but that’s besides the point. I'm still here.
          	
          	I'm here to call attention to the fact I started this account four years ago, and to say it's been a journey is an understatement. Having the privilege to have been able to make things that others have appreciated will forever be one of the highest honors I have received. And sure, times have gotten hard, and admittedly my ability to prioritize hasn't improved, but I would like to thank everyone who’s voted, commented, and otherwise stuck around all this time. I cannot articulate the fact that those small morale boosts have gotten me out of some pretty tough situations. I am, quite literally, still here because of you readers. It’s been an honor being able to write for all of you.
          	
          	If I could, I'd write the entire after-action report for the last 12 months here, but God forbid I've been trying and then some new BS happens rendering the whole thing moot. Things are moving too damn fast for me to get a bead on things… Lord knows when I'll finally get something in the way of a report done. Hopefully soon, once I get home from this trip. If not, come yell at me on Discord.

          As Martin has not returned in two weeks, he asked me to provide all of you with an update to the situation since he left. Captain Perez has been engaged with matters of national security, and as such, has not been permitted to submit to Wattpad. He has asked me to express his most sincere regret for leaving his audience without any notifications for so long, and he is making his best efforts to return as speedily as possible safely. Martin is doing all that he can to preserve the free world from those who wish to destroy it, both international and domestic. We are all wishing him safety and security.

Because Wattpad has almost a 3-year head start over AO3 and is more user-friendly (pretty much all my works were formatted on mobile), but also because I’m a full-time student for a mechanical engineering major, Information Operations Officer for Monterey County, a part-time supervisor with CSUPD, operating 278 miles from Base, all by myself. 
            I’m doing everything I can, but I have very little time to work with.

          Whether you celebrate alone or with a partner, hope today goes well for you. Hope all is well, and you find yourself in a safe, loving, and caring environment. At least for a moment.
