@FletchleyRose Hey, author, so I have a question regarding Dan and how his character was written Recently I'd written a review on Reddit for MM romance fans to read Packing heat, that book is fucking wonderful. And someone was telling me they would've loved to read about Dan's past too and see his character's development. And then I realized, yeah I definitely would too. Based on my research and reading about Carmen (since i cant read tragedies nor plays. The julius caesar i was made to read as part of syllabus was enough. So correct me if Im wrong) Escamillo was but a side character that drove Jose farther, a catalyst of a sort to lead to Carmen's death since the play was all about Jose's obsessive love and such. When you wrote Dan, how important was he? Was he only Kit's love, a man that was set to help Kit from the beginning or was he a side character built to show Kit's healing and give the story an ending Carmen deserved. Now I know wt I'm asking sounds like nonsense since ik half truths but answer me if wt I asked makes sense. Thanks The book was fucking beautiful!

@AbeerShamim Nope, they can be read separately :) They have the same main character, yes, but they are not a series and function as separate stories. You can read one without the other.
I've read lovely bastards. Can someone fill me up on how Charlie and Amos died???? I can never bring myself to read kit's book knowing this fact. So please spoil it for me :(((((( Charlie and Amos have my heart <333333 ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽
So I've read Kit's story and the Red Robin one. But in Kit's one I now know that Charlie died, so I don't think I'm gonna read his story.
