"It started out as a normal day. She thought she did everything right, that she was safe. It could never happen to her, right?

"But then it did, and her life was never the same."

"She's going through living hell, alone."

We are in the final stretch. The last three poems in the Take Away The Pain collection are being posted this week, one of which will be updated within the next few minutes. Watch for Perfection today and Salvation and Emotionless in the next few days. Don't forget to comment and vote.

Later today I will be posting a new story called The Whitmans and The Hughes:

Some live life carefree and happy, and success finds them along the way. For others, their journey for success leaves them empty handed. For others, they can watch and imitate those around them that have achieved everything they can hope for, but still fail. They can fail because of who they are, where they are born, or what they were born as. For some, no matter how hard they work- the goals they strive for- nothing works, and they are left in the dust by their luckier counterparts, who just look back and laugh.

This story started out as an English Honors assignment, but became much more to me as we proceeded through the lesson. It was no longer about definitions and theories, but instead became a story about struggle and oppression, and about the blindness of others.
