Mesmerized by words since infancy, I fell in love with their flexibility in allowing me to mold them when I played my anagram games as a child. Words are the elements to me: air, water, wind, fire, earth, you name it. They sustain my very existence. Hence, I write and write and write and cannot seem to do anything else but write.

My repertoire houses the latitude of genres because I never know what will emerge once I start to create. What have unfurled from those literary creations are children’s books, young adult novels, mysteries, realistic fiction, women’s fiction, short stories, poetry collections, and anything else my verdant mind cares to allow to germinate in it. Hence, I have not given in to unfounded restrictions to any particular genre. I just write.

Like my literary interests, I am layered like a Vidalia onion, multi-dimensional: a mother, a university instructor, an editor, avid gardener, caterer, returning college student--third time, writer/journalist, poet, test-prep/study skills tutor, enthusiastic blogger, web-designer-in-training, and a whole lot more.

We all hope for discovery, but what does it look like? Who knows? We hope to recognize it when it comes, if it is truly true, but some discoveries wear cloaks of deception as many authors can attest. Regardless, we all want it and hope that it is truly honest when it arrives to carry us away in the romantic carriage of millions of book sales, bulging bank accounts, and doing rounds of media circuits in well-clad appearances. That I should be so lucky!

Before that happens, let me cater to you: which one of my genres would you like to read first?

Thanks for the compliment. I am sorry to sound so selective, but whereas I love books, there are some genres that I find hard to read.
