This week, Drafting Davies gets a new Short for the pessimistic ones with the publication of 'Savior Sillage'.

'George Geismar is a man with Borderline Personality Disorder. Tortured by his dual characters; George, the pathetic one, and Geismar, the sadistic; George Geismar is rescued by his good friend Will who arranges an intervention to The Tip.

Where George Geismar becomes acquainted with Sophie Plath and the rest of the story makes the Tip a nostalgic, depressive, romantic and haunting place.'

In this week on Drafting Davies, dialogues are the only weapon I am allowed to use in the new Shorts/Prompts for the Believer Book Club.

'New York's drama writer N. Cassady calls up to his friend E. Lindenburgh when he hits a wall about his new novel's lead woman. In the quirky, humorous conversation about themselves and the story, Cassady reveals his main, secretive intention of serenading Linden into being his muse.'

Every time someone publishes a book with 'The Bad Boy' in the title, J.D Salinger and S.E Hilton turn a bit more in their graves.
