" I'm great ! " ella responded , returning the smile as she looked at rayna .  " how are things at auradon prep ? "

ella squealed in excitement when she saw rayna , " rayna !! " she exclaimed happily , immediately hugging her back . " I've been spending more time with my boyfriend , justin . I'm so sorry rayna ." she apologized , frowning . " how are you ? "

ella grinned and giggled slightly ,  " oh ! alright , " she responded , and stood up from where she was sitting . " let's go to that bakery then ! " she spoke with excitement sparkling in her eyes .

ella turned to look at vanny , a small smile forming onto her face . " oh , yeah ! there's a bakery that's right across the street from here , " she motioned to where the bakery was , before looking back at vanessa. " why do you ask ? "

ella let go of the girl's hand , dusting off her skirt . " so uh , where are you from ? I don't think I've seen you around new york city before ." she commented , tilting her head in a curious manner as she looked at vanny.

" it's okay ! " ella responded , giggling softly . " well , it's nice to meet you vanny ! " she spoke , sticking her hand out for a handshake . she was excited at the thought of vanessa becoming her new friend .

ella was just putting her stuff away in her backpack, when she jumped from hearing vanessa's voice. she looked up at the dark-haired girl, smiling a little. " oh , you scared me - ! " she laughed nervously, " but uh, my name's ella ! " she smiled softly at vanessa, sliding her backpack over her shoulder after she had finished putting her stuff away. " who are you ? " she asked curiously. she knew a fair amount of people, but vanessa didn't look too familiar to her.

" then that's his loss ! " ella exclaimed suddenly , letting out a small giggle . " but really , you should try to move on if he doesn't like you back , rayna ." she spoke softly , looking at her . she wasn't the best at giving advice , but she wanted to help rayna as much as she could .
