FriendsNotFound
ok idk if this is just a me thing, but has anyone ever been in a fandom since you were a kid/the same age as the characters and would read fics about them, but since the characters don’t age with us, eventually you’re an adult while the characters you used to read abt are still kids/teens and stuff-
cuz i’ve just recently gotten to that point and so now i’m not sure if it would be wrong to still read those same fics or not anymore? idk but if anyone has advice/opinions on what to do lmk :/

@FriendsNotFound I hate it when I can't have a small crush on my favorite characters after I grow out of the acceptable age for them.

@FriendsNotFound Not wrong. People don't age out of fanfic. Being able to be in touch with your inner child is a good thing, not a bad thing. Who do you think writes all the super well written fics in "kid" or YA fandoms? Adults, with writing practice under their belts. I'm near 30 and still dabble in writing Percy Jackson stuff. I also go to work and pay taxes and file for insurance and do all sorts of adult things. So no, it's not bad. At all.
