Y'all I don't even know what to do with SHARK... it was essentially created from a dream I had and it seemed super cool back then but the more time that passes, the more I'm like "WTF..." it just feels so random and it was such an impulsive decision to post it. I'll probably still finish it at some point because I do kinda like the characters but it feels like a fever dream so much lmao
@KJ_Harding I could try that! I still have inspiration to finish it since it's supposed to be fairly short anyways, but I think reworking it will definitely help!
@FrlckenNugget I've had several stories like this. Some of them I finished like "Shadow Maze," and some I deleted and reworked like "Losing Hope." Sometimes the spark isn't necessarily there for that story anymore. Maybe since you love the characters, try imagining them in a different story? Maybe they'd fit a plot you've had in the back of your mind .

This is why it's important to read, I guess. I've been reading a physical book and noticed that after quotations, things like "he said/she said/they said" aren't capitalized. I've been capitalizing them because the dialogue part usually ends with a period, exclamation mark, or question mark, and in my mind that's the end of a sentence but nope, the dialogue tags are still considered part of the sentence and therefore don't need to be capitalized.
Sorry for this rant, it's just crazy to me that I made it to almost 22 years without realizing this, I apologize to everyone and try to process this now lol
@desdemona_shay That is true haha. It's just kinda crazy tho cause usually I'm the grammar police at my work place lol. But to be fair I don't put too much effort into editing my first drafts because it's just me telling myself the story
@KJ_Harding yesss I have that too sometimes because some of my stories are present tense and some are past tense so it can be confusing at times, especially if you're writing them at the same time.
@FrlckenNugget Most people don't even notice. It can also be a stylistic choice. One thing I have to be mindful of is keeping the correct tense .
Yay a CMWIF chapter has spawned! (I'm sorry it's been like 6 weeks ToT)

I know I changed the cover for CMWIF YET AGAIN.
But it's because I realized that I have too much content for one book, so it's now a series! The old cover will be for the second book :)

My inspiration is still growing and I'm happy because I think I'm starting to feel a little more like myself again :)

TL;DR
Usually I post chapters no matter how busy life can get because it's what brings me joy and I look forward to every Thursday.
Writing is one of my favourite hobbies and it's one of my only fixations that never really goes away. Even when I'm not actually writing, I'm at least plotting or dreaming up new ideas.
However, I've been having some issues with my meds lately and haven't quite been feeling like myself. I was supposed to have a psychiatrist appointment at the beginning of December, but I missed and now won't be able to go until the end of February.
As for writing, I've still been plotting and stuff, but Catch Me When I Fall, which has been my pride and joy, I suddenly lost inspiration for.
I think I burnt myself out a bit during the NovNov challenge. In the past, I got the 50,000 words in from multiple stories. In 2025, I decided the get 50,000 words in for CMWIF alone. I almost made it halfway but I started falling behind and it overwhelmed me so much that I dropped the challenge, and I haven't written in CMWIF since.
So three weeks ago I got caught up to the last chapter that was complete, and that's why there hasn't been one since.
All that being said, Tyrone and Khai are still my bebes and I miss them. I think there's a tiny well of inspiration starting to flow again.
