I've always loved reading, but I'd stopped writing for a while, assuming that my horrible first drafts meant that I was bad at it. Apparently excellent stories don't just happen all at once. Who knew?
My friend suggested I join this site, so I have. I hope that if I keep practicing, I'll get better at breathing life into the crazy things that happen in my imagination.
I love my parrot, singing, and getting lost in good books. 
I write fairy tales (the kind with talking animals), poetry and paranormal fiction, but I'm also trying my hand at writing good old-fashioned murder mysteries :)
