I love to write! It's my day! It's my life! It's my expression! And I would love to share it with you :)



From Within The Shadow



When I was in that shadowy place 

 every day I had to face 

that I could easily fall from grace



The only time I found head space 

and was able to openly embrace 

without having to erase 

the parts of me that caused disgrace 

was when I picked up the pen to trace 



Those parts of you I began to replace 

as each step I took to retrace 

until I could fully then embrace 

the parts that gave me my own place 

and walk the world then full of grace



The writing of the book From Within The Shadow took me back so that I could de-tangle myself from what I'd been led to believe in myself differently.

Like the metaphorical onion I stripped back every layer to find out what I needed to know to move forward.

I started the book with the poem The Beginning, which was the first poem I wrote on my journey, each poem in between represents how the days passed, in some cases in a state of chaos, although each poem was a step within a particular level to find something that gave me some sort of grip on my own reality.

Days that just flowed entered the realm until the last poem of the book called Now, which was the last poem I wrote and I knew it was completed. 

It's been an amazing journey; when I started to gather my poems for my first book I had the idea that there would be 4 books, let's see where they take me.
