Whether the answer is yes or no, then now is the time to begin. This is a corner of Wattpad dedicated to the animals, and their lives, so very different and yet so very similar to our own. We give them voices. We give them worlds.

For existing animal writers, those who already explore these unseen worlds, then there is a book club here for you. I'll also be adding any animal books I come across to reading lists here.

But for the majority, animal writing is probably something you've never tried. Fur and Feathers is a chance to give it a try: to take that microscope of a book and peer into the worlds of the animals. For you, I recommend you have a look at our writing contests, and try it out that way.

So next time you're looking out your window, and you spot a magpie perched on a rooftop, just spare a moment's thought. Trust me - it's worth it.
