It's true what you said, most yandere stories come off real fast. There is not plot and just some creepy, crazy, stalking and just murdering stuff. But real killers takes there time and learn their prey. Manipulation is key to gain that. The scariest part is that even us who was well guarded and have high knowledge could be manipulated if we didn't realise the signs sooner. That's why.
