I enjoy writing. I believe it's an act of love to create something using your words. It's powerful to be able to evoke emotions with carefully constructed sentences. It's simply astonishing to be able to change the way that someone thinks with a few paragraphs. It's overwhelmingly beautiful to be able to write a story that is compelling and one that people will enjoy reading.
My writing used to be very angry, and full of angst. A few years have passed since then, and I don't like the writing that I have from back then. It doesn't connect on a human level, and that's fatal to the quality of the story. Basically, I was angry because I felt entitled to certain things in life, and I was distressed when I didn't get those things. But, I have realized that is actually disgusting human behavior, and I feel that I have moved past that era of my writing.
You don't have a right to anyone's life but your own.
Alright, so, about me. I really like The Legend of Zelda. The whole series is phenomenal.
I love cats. Actually, my cat is sleeping near my shoulder right now, and it makes me happy to see him content.
I'm a twenty something that lives in a sleepy little town. More of a retirement community, really. Not much happens here, and the stuff that does is usually illegal. I grew up here, and have been walking these streets for most of my life. Most people my age don't like it here, and they always try to leave. One or two of the ones that have actually left, tell me that I should leave as well. And I will. But not yet.
I don't watch movies very often, but I watch some TV. I've seen Futurama two or three times.
I walk or ride a bike everywhere I go. Partly because I don't have a license. Mostly because I enjoy it. Gives me time to think.
I read almost obsessively, and a couple of my favorite authors are Stephen King, and Ray Bradbury. Fahrenheit 451 is my favorite book of all time, so far. I also like His Dark Materials, by Philip Pullman.
