I just need to vent for a moment.
Lately, I’ve been feeling really sad and tired seeing notifications for my story, only to realize they’re not from people who actually care about the writing or the characters — but from people trying to get my socials or ask about collaborations and commissions.
I’ve said in my bio multiple times that I’m not interested in that kind of thing, yet it keeps happening. It’s disheartening, because I put so much love into my writing and my worlds, and I wish I could get more views or comments from readers who genuinely read my work because they enjoy it, not because they want something from me.
I completely understand and respect that artists deserve to be paid for their work — this isn’t about that. It just hurts when it feels like the only reason people engage with my story is to try and sell something or pitch an idea. I just want my writing to be seen and appreciated for what it is, not for what people think they can get out of me.
