Griffin Ronald Wiles was born on April 28, 2001. His parents split up when he was 8 years old (in 2009) and they have joint custody of him and his brother, Noah. He grew up in Swartz Creek, Michigan, but his father moved to Grand Blanc, Michigan, when he was 16. He loves most all animals (puppies in particular). By having a fairly mundane childhood, Griffin had to find motivation and inspiration for his writing in places other than family and friends while growing up. He has had a wild imagination from a young age, however, and has been able to become inspired by almost anything. 

	A big inspiration for Griffin was his first trip to New York City. After idolizing the city his whole life, going to the city itself was a life changing and inspirational experience. On a more somber note, the deaths of his close aunt and uncle also served as inspiration for Griffin to observe the effects of death on those surrounding the deceased and caused him to implant said observations into his writings. Another major life event Griffin went through is openly coming out as gay (to his friends, in 7th grade). The first family member he came out to was his mother. He came out to her in Las Vegas, Nevada, hours after a Britney Spears concert. Needless to say, she wasn't very surprised and accepted him with open arms. He keeps an array of diverse characters in his works to represent people of different cultures and backgrounds. 

	Griffin's favorite authors are Agatha Christie and Stephen King. His favorite books are And Then There Were None by Christie and Misery by King. He is very inspired by mysteries and books that incorporate massive twists and aren't afraid to not be taboo. His favorite TV shows and television inspirations are Nip/Tuck, Desperate Housewives, Sex and the City, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His favorite musical artists are Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Aimee Mann, and Courtney Love, and is very inspired by all four.
